Prior to our event, very few people in Wairarapa had heard of Nick Rado, but now he is the talk of the town. Nick had a tough act to live up to following the success of last year 's inaugural awards evening, but he quite simply smashed it out of the park. In front of a tough audience of local businesspeople, including a couple who regularly MC events themselves, Nick was just outstanding. His meticulous preparation paid off, and he won the crowd over in the first few minutes with a hilarious welcoming address, based on considerable local knowledge and research. He hung around for several hours after the end of the formal proceedings to chat to the award winners, guests and dignitaries which was an unexpected bonus.
