Wendy Bennett

Cyber Resilience and Security. Dyslexia and Neurodiversity. Director at Outfox Limited

She has been in the information security field for over 15 years. Currently, she is the director of an award-winning Cyber Resilience company, which has also been a finalist for the Bx Australasian business awards for two consecutive years.


She led the Policy and Research Unit and the Policy and Standards team for 18 months at the New Zealand National Cyber Security Centre, where she was responsible for developing public sector security policies and standards that government agencies were required to follow, and for reporting to ministers on new security initiatives.


She also served as the Engagement Manager and advisor to the Government Chief Information Security Officer in New Zealand. Prior to that, she held the role of Information Assurance Advisor at the New Zealand Police, where she was responsible for establishing systems and processes to manage their most sensitive information.


Wendy is dyslexic and additionally delivers public speaking engagements on dyslexia and neurodiversity, advocating for greater acceptance and the value of embracing this diversity with a business, from the shop floor to the board room.
